The 20-player attraction, affordably priced at $165,000, is earning over $2,250 per day on the average, and approximately $250 per hour of operation. On Saturdays, revenues have been over $4,000 per day.
According to Peter Betti, Chairman of H. Betti Enterprises, “We saw the early potential in this new product, and selected Six Flags Over Georgia as the location to place our first unit. We’re satisfied that consumers are responding to this very unique entertainment medium at the levels we had hoped for.”
“We’re very pleased that our product is proving itself with strong revenues, even during the early off-peak season at Six Flags,” stated Ham On Rye President Randy Sprout. “The revenues are also showing a steady increase, as we would expect as we move into the peak summer months. We expect our daily average to top $2,500 by season’s end.”
John Odum, Six Flags Over Georgia’s Vice President and General Manager, compares Ham On Rye’s results to Six Flags’ standard benchmarks: “The Ham On Rye Theater to date has stunned us with it’s per-capita revenues. We typically look for a product in its class and price range to earn 7 to 11 cents per capita. The fact that it is consistently earning double this benchmark is absolutely unprecedented. Recently, during an all-day rainstorm, the unit earned 30-cents per cap! We are very excited about the potential of this product in the amusement industry.”
Ham On Rye has also measured demographic interest in the attraction, and the results have proven the Ham On Rye Theater to have an exceptionally broad interest level among all age and gender groups, from 5 to 65. Exit surveys have shown an over 95% positive response among all demographic groups.
