Ham On Rye Shatters Projections At Chessington World of Adventures

April 20, 2002. London, UK. Ham On Rye Technologies, Inc. announced the results to date for the first-ever Ham On Rye Theater installed in Europe, at Tussauds Group’s Chessington World of Adventures. The Theater is currently holding an average per capita revenue of 19 pence (equivalent to US 27 cents).

“This is by far the best performance we ever have seen with our attraction, where in the US we typically see performance levels averaging 18-20 cents per cap,” stated Ham On Rye Executive Vice President Susan Sprout. “It seems that the UK consumers are responding to the energy of the Ham On Rye Theater in the same way they do to sporting events: with no-holds-barred enthusiasm!”

Ian Whittingham, Games & Photography Manager at both Tussauds' London Theme Parks, Chessington World of Adventures and Thorpe Park, comments on the attraction: "This has far exceeded our expectations in performance. We had initially budgeted this attraction at 12 pence per cap, and are amazed that it has averaged 19 thus far. Our park guests love this new attraction, and we have found it very easy to manage."

Drew Pawlak, chief architect of Ham On Rye’s worldwide distribution strategy, states “We could not have hoped for a better result for our first European unit. These revenue figures are just extraordinary, and the audited numbers were released by Chessington themselves. Chessington is now the shining star in our current installed base of 21 units, and we also have a very satisfied customer in Dublin, Ireland. From current sales activity, we expect to have an even stronger installed base by IAAPA 2002, all showing very impressive financial returns for our customers.”

Ham On Rye is actively seeking sales agents and distribution partners in Europe, South America, and Asia to support worldwide deployment of its highly successful new product.
