January 14, 2002. St. Louis, Missouri. Ham On Rye today announced the expansion of its Ham On Rye Theater Management Program, with the full-time acquisition of professional Talent Manager Danny Strohmeyer, and creation of a solid operations team to manage a growing number of theaters in the field. Mr. Strohmeyer has produced live theater as well as performed in a variety of entertainment mediums, and has personally managed the Ham On Rye Theater at Six Flags St. Louis, Ham On Rye’s most successful revenue producer to date. Ham On Rye Expands Its Management Program For Ham On Rye Theaters™
Mr. Strohmeyer, Director of Theater Management, explains the detailed responsibilities that Ham On Rye assumes when committing to a management contract. “We run all aspects of a theater in the field, including full management of the Performers, responsibility for show quality, technology operations, theater efficiency, maximization of revenues and profits, theater cleanliness and appearance. All our customer needs to do is supply the cashier and sit back and collect a very large amount of cash, as we proved at Six Flags St. Louis.”
According to Susan M. Sprout, Executive Vice President and overseer of Ham On Rye’s Management Program, “We have now assumed direct responsibility for our tenth Ham On Rye Theater at a customer site. This includes all of the units we have sold to Six Flags…they have chosen us to take full responsibility for the management of their attractions, as have the purchasers of some other theaters such as Sportland in Ocean City, MD. This makes it an easier choice to purchase a Ham On Rye Theater, because our customer knows it has the backing of a company with over seven years of experience at managing talent for this live interactive medium.”
Ham On Rye’s direct management of theaters at Six Flags St. Louis, Chicago, and Georgia, resulted in unprecedented levels of earnings, which management believes is the primary reason that Six Flags has purchased a total of eight theaters and growing. Six Flags’ theaters averaged well over $2,000 per day in revenues, and some peak days over $5,000.
President Randy Sprout, is quick to point out that Ham On Rye’s management is not necessary for the highest success of the attraction. “While we offer management support to those qualified customers who desire this level of involvement, many of our customers, such as Paramount Parks, elect to fully operate the theaters themselves. In this case, we provide all our know-how and experience through multiple training sessions and materials, so that our customer takes advantage of our years of successful experience, and combine it with their own unique knowledge of their venue characteristics and guest demographics.”
